It takes a little longer than expected. [The house looks to be in far rougher shape than his last visit; the time-shifting of Willow during the last trial has left it in an unfortunate state, sections rotted, his once-beautiful garden either dead or run amuck. There's obvious signs that repairs are under way, patches of fresh wood, a wheelbarrow full of plants waiting to be transported elsewhere, a support beam here and there. The roof tree is at least in decent state still.

The door opens to find Caduceus in mostly good spirits, despite it all. Perhaps not cheery, considering the reason Sephiroth is here (a lifelong disease is nothing to cheer about) but at least his friendly disposition is untarnished.]

Hello there. Sorry about the state of the place, but I've got the kitchen up and running. Want a drink?

[Not much different from Lapine. So much had rotted away, from homes to environment itself, and only some came back. He knew nothing about gardening, but it left dull frustration to see the once carefully tended plants a wreck. What was the point of destroying it all?]

...It's okay. Things are much the same in Lapine. I hadn't had a garden to destroy but others.. look like this.

[And right before winter, they were lucky they didn't rely on harvests to get through it.

There is still something odd about exactly how MUCH Caduceus towers over him, beyond what humanity already did. But nothing about it made him threatening somehow, this time or the last. It is however apparently still distracting as it takes a minute for the rest to process. Whatever illness he's here for, the teen looks as obnoxiously healthy as ever.]

Oh. If it wouldn't be any trouble, I wouldn't mind.

[Might help that while tall, Caduceus isn't buff by any means. He's more gangly beanpole than proper giant.]

[He can't help but look around again, and compare to the last time he'd briefly been there. There's still a bit of a level of discomfort over the very idea of anything even remotely like a medical procedure, but this was not a sterile lab.

And aside from the thinness, Caduceus doesn't have anything in common with the Professor. A seat is selected purely at random.]

As well as can be expected. Less sleep than is probably 'ideal', there's ... a lot of cleanup, and I can make heavy equipment less necessary for the debris. I heard people are actually running it all to the sea to dump it in but surely nobody's that foolish.

[That'd be an ecological disaster! ..Wouldn't it?]

[He definitely speed-ran the kitchen clean-up. He needs to be able to eat, after all, even if he's still technically solo in this house. There are signs of a rush job, but it's in a better state than the rest, and it seems well-stocked.]

I'm sure they have good reason. [The people of this world don't typically come across as senselessly wasteful, so... here's hoping.] It's true that there's a lot of work to do, but there are many of us helping, and it will take time. Be sure to pace yourself accordingly, or you'll be too exhausted to do anything.

[He absolutely will, because the only way to find limits is to push them. So far though, he has all the jittery energy of someone who'd basically spent two months doing NONE of the intense physical exercise he was used to, with the exception of occasionally hauling heavy objects.

It's been boring, but aside from being constantly naggingly hungry, it had been fine.]

I have a 'familiar bond' now, it makes getting away with certain things like working to exhaustion much harder.

[A weak one, kept distant by his hurt and anger. But it's there.]

Are you regrowing your plants from seed or using Lore to bring them back already grown?

He quirks a brow at the familiar bond comment. That sure has been on a lot of peoples' minds lately... though if it helps, then all the better. Someone with a long-term illness should get all the assistance they can.]

I haven't used lore just yet. Most of what's here is overgrown, so instead of starting over, I'll probably just relocate a bunch of 'em and see what's left after. Then I can think about whether or not it's worth replanting. Winter's on the way, after all.

[Who knows what the weather will be like in a few months, considering what just happened. For a lot of what he'd been growing, it might be best to wait for spring.]

[He hadn't been here last winter, but it did fit with the trees; if the leaves come off then generally snow happened.

Recent events have made it clear storing things up in case of being snowed in might not actually do any good. How is he supposed to be planning for winter like this? ... Not important right now.]

In that case planting would probably be wasteful unless you built a large glass box around ... all of it.

I'm not going to worry overmuch. Nature will live and die in the ways it was designed to, and we have very little control over that. I'll do what I can for it, and when spring comes again, growth will come with it. I've always let the seasons do what they will.

I'm not sure applying what nature intends to this particular place is a good idea.

[He's not sure he agrees on nature's intent- Thirteen can place a lot of things in one place and shake it around, but she can't stop the will of nature entirely. Not in people, not in whatever grows. It tends to do what it wants in spite of, not because of, a higher power.

You don't have to worry about that. Disease and such can be natural, but that doesn't mean we have to suffer through it. Nature understands the rules of kill or be killed. There's no rule against fighting back. [He tilts his head questioningly.] What is it that ails you?

[Red in tooth and claw, even for diseases, huh? That's a practical way of looking at it, but relying on external things like medicines and drugs and magic might throw off how natural the fighting was.

.. No point in saying so. It wouldn't benefit him.]

That.. I'm not entirely certain of, as all information is second and third hand at best. A spaceborne virus or disease that chose my planet to infect, can affect people as well as beasts and monsters. That I've shown few symptoms I can recognize yet is I suppose a blessing but I don't much want to carry it around with me.

[It works out better if your remedies are natural and your magic comes from a nature god, but really, everyone's got their own standards. He's comfortable with his.]

Hmm. And you want to see if I have the power to remove it from you? Do you know what not having it in your body might do?

[Doesn't necessarily change whether he'll try or not - having bodily autonomy means getting to choose, regardless of consequence - but he'd like to brace himself for the potential bad.]

Only good things, I imagine. I might lose some strength or speed, but based on what I've seen others do, I doubt it'll be much. The cost is too high for such meager gain.

[He doesn't seem like he's lying though, he believes it. How problematic could it really be, pulling out the tainted blood and leaving him actually human?

The threat simply .. goes away. He could deal with Jenova on normal terms, without falling prey. Cloud wouldn't have to fear him anymore. No one would.]

[He's a tall kid, and Caduceus isn't terribly strong- or fast, is the bigger issue. Even if he can handle a head injury, Caduceus doesn't need the extra guilt.]

[It's extremely rare that Sephiroth is both prompt in obeying and openly enthusiastic about doing so. This feels like it's the right track. Who needs to learn how to master strange alien abilities if they're all simply removed like the disease they were?

And so he takes a moment to unbuckle is sword and set it aside, it wasn't much needed here anyway, only for getting here and leaving again, and settles unceremoniously on the floor beside it.]

I'm a bit heavier than I look, so that's probably true. You don't look all that weak though. Someone your size?

[Sephiroth is MUCH heavier than he looks, like most SOLDIERs, but Caduceus is so much taller, he HAD to be tough. That people who specialize in healing tend to neglect other skills, like lifting weights, eludes him.]

[Caduceus transplants himself smoothly to the floor in front of Sephiroth, long legs crossed, his hands rested on his knees. He looks a little amused at the comment on his strength. Could he carry someone if he had to? Sure, he'd done it before. But sudden drops have more momentum than one would think they might. The floor allows for less harm.]

"Strong" isn't the same as "not weak". [It's a distinction he's had to think about on and off, in an adventuring party like his. He's not the weakest, but far from the most muscular. He's content with it.] You don't have to do anything, besides hold still, I suppose. And tell me if you feel more pain than should be normal.

[It's not supposed to hurt, but he's never tried to purge an alien virus before.]

[The faint puzzled frown suggests that Sephiroth really doesn't see the difference, but his lack of pursuing it also pretty clearly demonstrates he also doesn't think it's important to get into right this moment. Maybe later, once he's no longer got space disease written into his cells.]

I can tolerate quite a bit if it's uncomfortable.

[Chances are astronomical he's not going to say anything, because the goal is worth a little suffering. Maybe it'll feel like being ill. He'd never gotten sick but it sounded like a miserable time.

Unfortunately for him, while Holy aligned things are excruciatingly rare on his planet, that doesn't go for everywhere, and if he had any actual physical weaknesses, that would certainly count.]

Ideally you will feel better, not worse.

[Not that he knows if Sephiroth feels bad, now. He seems healthy enough. Regardless, he has the information and location he needs. Time to start.

He lifts a hand, fingers shifting into an intricate gesture, pointing towards the young man waiting, and he murmurs an incantation under his breath. A sweeping wind flows at once between them, twisting around Sephiroth's body, wrapped around him like a series of gentle, non-constricting vines. A sensation of warmth passes into his body, the sweetest of fires burning away that which infects him right to his core. Soft patches of pink moss grow painlessly onto his skin, turning to ash and dissolving away as they draw poisoned cells into themselves, out of his body. The whole process only takes a handful of seconds, and all the while it seems to whisper: you're alright. you'll be alright.

Sephiroth may not recognize it for what it is, but what it is, is undeniably: the loving touch of a mother, soothing one's ills. And while it may not give him the effect he's hoping for, ultimately, the process truly could not have been more gentle.]
