[He steps outside fully, gesturing for Emmet to follow him to the tower steps leading up. Appointments happen in the garden.]

A Joltik is... one of the Pokemon, I'm guessing?

Bug/Electric, I breed them, yup.

[Emmet follows, looking around as he follows.]

It is hard not to like Ingo. He is verrry nice.

[He doesn't have that much context for what bug/electric means, but he'll take it at face value. Electric bugs? Not the strangest creature he'll have come across.]

He is, isn't he? He's very caring.

[The tower stairs don't offer much scenery, but once they reach the roof and exit the small hut at the top, Emmet will be greeted with a beautiful wild garden, full of plants and flowers of all sorts growing freely, and of course the giant tree off to one side.]

Yupyup, he has always been the nice one.

[The Joltik sticks its head out of Emmet's pocket to look around.]

How long did this take for you to do?

Hmm, let's see... it took the whole summer to get to this state.

[So 3-4 months, give or take. Not a bad timeline for a decent garden size.]

Verrrry good work. I just have my horrible tree I wished for.

[The taiyaki tree. Very blursed. But it gets Ingo a stall at the Farmer's Market!]

[He leads them over to a little table beneath the oak tree, where some tea and fruit biscuits await, where he sits down cross-legged.]

[Emmet sits down also.]

I was curious if I could wish for a magic tree. It makes dumplings and taiyaki. Those don't spoil. It is an affront to Arceus, but I wished for it, so now I have to take care of it.

Well, it is good that you're taking responsibility for it. Nature is nature, however strange.

[He smiles, pouring tea for the both of them.]

Ingo told me he thought he'd regained a memory recently.

He did. He had been working verrrry hard on trying to get one, but I keep telling him brains are weird, and you can't force those things, yup. I even told him because brains are weird, they might just never pop up again- so just relax.

[Emmet takes the tea, holding it.]

That's a very sensible way of looking at it, and it's kind of you to give him the time he needs to remember at his own pace. [He pauses, and then adds gently,] How have you been feeling about all of this?

Very happy he is safe, yup. He seems to be listening about relaxing more, which is good because when he arrived here he was stressing out and that is not good. We also seem to be getting back into a synch of sorts, which is nice.

Oh? That does sound like good progress. That must be a great relief.

[Emmet takes a sip of the tea. Mostly to be polite.]

It is,I was worried I would be too weird now, yup.

Well, it has been eight years, and I have spent most of those eight years not really socializing. Don't use a skill, lose the skill, yup.

Ahh, that is fair. Well, I'm glad it doesn't seem to be impeding your relationship. That skill will only improve with practice, so keep talking with him and you'll grow and grow.

Yup, even though I was trying to put my best foot forward for a while.

That can serve you well for a while, but it's best for those you care about to know your true self. Perhaps doing so might help him remember you better, too.

I don't think he would believe me. Ingo seems to think I want him fresh out of the box again, yup.
