The tifs were about Ingo thinking, and being correct, I was being fake. Yup. So I worked on that.

I've been trying. Its not easy to reprogram yourself from thinking something bad was all your fault.

[Silence for a moment, looking down at the mug.]

It's hard not too though. To think if you could reinvent yourself to be better. Be more kind and stuff, yup.

[The words feel weird in his mouth, but Ingo wanted him to talk to this person, so he should!]

[He was having to actively remind himself though.]

Because, isn't that the best case scenario when someone suddenly disappears?

[He says this with a brightness that could almost be compared to lemons. Bright- but bitter]

After all, then they are safe. So after eight years of pondering this and finding out no, that isn't what happened - hard to change your brain overnight. Brains are weird, yup.

Yup, because brains are weird.

[He pointed out.]

It makes the rules, I just follow them.

[He sighs a little.]

It feels like people expect me to just flip a switch in my brain, yup. 8 years after all.

It's hard. I feel like because how I started off with Ingo when he came here, he doesn't trust me to think for myself at times. Like, I am just saying something to make him happy.

[Emmet sets the tea down.]

Like about Hisui.

Ancient Sinnoh- about 150 so years in the past. Across the ocean and everything. Where Ingo was sent.

[Emmet figures Caduceus was a nuetral third party.]

When the Fox sends us back, I want to go to Hisui. I don't like Unova much anymore, plus Ingo has a job there. I'll miss the Subway, but I'll be with Ingo.

I think he thinks I would rather have modern conveniences and stuff. But he has a place in Hisui, I might not- but really I don't think I have a place in Unova anymore either.

[Well, he knows it. After all, if someone goes missing, they always look at the people closest to the victim. And then there is always the court of public opinion...]

[personal profile] i_am_emmet 2024-11-24 12:05 am (UTC)(link)
So, when someone goes missing, they look for the usual suspects. A person is more likely to be hurt by someone close to them rather than a random stranger just because of how often they are aroud them.

[Emmet decided to explain the basis of things.]

Where Ingo went missing was in the back offices of the Gear Station, where only employees such as myself, him and depot agents have access to.

Ingo left our office with his Pokemon still in the office. So that means if he left the office it was with someone he trusted. With all this information in mind, who do you think had the light shined on them first?
