I suppose I've never given anyone cause to think that. I've done it a handful of times over the years, though. It's important to find ways to keep your mind occupied when you live alone for a very long time.
A little bit of exploring new things never hurts. I don't know a lot about alchemy but it seems to be one of those things that only gets anywhere if people try new things.
Compared to the lifespans of some I haven't had long in solitude, but somehow it seems when all you can hear is your own thoughts somehow they only echo doubts and fears. I'm glad you've found ways to keep occupied.
I admit my idea of what qualifies as herbalism would have excluded experimentation beyond trying for a new flower color and the like.
Idle whim is the reasoning today, though I admit the location isn't by accident. The Encantado is a nice day trip for concerns to be lessened, and my traveling companion seems like he can use it.
That's good. Mutual benefit is the ideal, though not always a requirement with friends. If you find yourself idle and and too isolated, my door is always open. Or my relic, I suppose, if this is better for you.

What about you? Is this how you're keeping your thoughts occupied? Searching for gems in the river?
If this were just a couple weeks later..

temporarily being doing ok isn't bad at least!
I'll keep that in mind. For now things are going well though, solitude aside. One of us will come visit with the spoils of this venture soon enough.
