I imagine he's in the same situation. Take that time, and maybe broach the subject after a while. At least a few days.

[If not more. Considering how volatile the fight was, with Leo coming back bloodied? Yeah, might need extra time to cool down from that.]

I guess I could yap about something else. I mean... I dunno how that spell would even work anyway. [The most dangerous topic of them all magic. Leonardo hasn't made it much of a secret he's fascinated by magic. Sure, he could bitch about Donnie for ages, but... he's now thinking about magic.] I was thinking about magic back in my world recently, anyway. Since, I think a lot of it came from the Crying Titan?

[He'd demonstrate it as a joke, but honestly he didn't even prep that spell today. So live with your wondering, buddy. And be un-silenced.

[He will wait with bated breath for the day Caduceus finally mutes him. It will be a funny threat coming true. For now? Well, Leo is info dumping going to ramble.]

The Crying Titan was this giant statue in the center of the Hidden City. The statue was the source of this green goop called Empyrean. In far as Draxum told me, and I gleaned from other yokai, it was the source of the yokai people. Potent and magical. Dunno how much of that was folklore or truth, you know?

Sometimes I wondered if anyone taking another drink from the waters around The Crying Titan would become more magical or just change again?

Huh... sounds like the sort of thing that would be interesting to discover, but I wouldn't want to be the first one to step up and try it.

[More magical could be good, and useful. But the "change" part is a little too nebulous for his liking. He pauses, though. Actually, the name is familiar.]

I think I've heard that word before... Draxum spoke of it once.

Given the way the Foot clan tried to use it before, I get that. I'd like to learn more about it, see what it can really do, but, who knows. The yokai built their entire society around that statue, since it was such a big part of everything.

Not a surprise. Draxum definitely used Empyrean in his alchemy a lot, from what I remember. When it was finally gone, he had to change spell tactics while he was still with us.

[Surely they've gotten enough lore by all their talking so far, to at least get a little bit… though in truth he's not sure how expensive it would be to acquire.]

....Honestly hadn't occurred to me. [He can be honest about that.] I'm not exactly some genius, so, it'd probably be wasted on me having some.

[If anyone else lobbed that at him, he would've taken offense. With Cad, he chuckles.] First of all, rude, I wasn't even thinking about drinking it. Until now anyway.

Second of all, what do you even do with that kinda thing? Hope you can use it for magic? Like your diamonds?

[Caduceus just smiles, utterly unapologetic. Sometimes a man's gotta sass.]

I had much the same thought while talking with Draxum, actually. There is a material in my world called residuum that acts as a catalyst for magic, and can be used as a replacement for any required spell component, including diamonds. It's a potent material, incredibly rare. He said Empyrean can be used similarly. I thought they might be comparable.

[It wasn't really about Empyrean or residuum, in truth, but they'd both come up in the discussion, so. Relevant. He's not sure what Leonardo knows about Hunter's nature, so he won't bring up the galdorstone.]

Huh. [New thing to unravel, at least. Leonardo had at best been guessing, so knowing he wasn't off the mark is nice.] Well, I don't mind just buying it then. I could give it to you, and you'd get more use than I could.

I love magic, but, my magic only comes from the family. Nothing else. Unless you wanna see me do a card trick.

Hmm. I wouldn't go out of your way, it isn't that important. But if some happens to appear, the way things do sometimes in this world, I wouldn't mind seeing it.

[At the very least, he could see how it compares to residuum. Or to the galdorstone, even...]

Well, you're important to me, and more magic wouldn't hurt for you to have. [Now he's going to just... do it. He needs to figure out how much lore he actually needs for that kind of thing.] You could honestly do anything with magic if you set your mind to it.

Okay, I really need to find a deck of playing cards. I so gotta wow you with the tricks I know.

Oh, card tricks? Jester loved messing around with cards often. Though she was mostly practicing telling fortunes, I think.

Oh, she must have had tarot cards. Those I can't use, but, basic playing cards I could do a few things with. [He thinks about it for a moment, but pulls out his spoon. You can make a purchase at any time, right?

He wiggles it experimentally, and a sealed deck of playing cards appear in his pocket.]

Okay, the whole spoon thing isn't terrible. [He swaps the spoon out for playing cards.]
